At least 10 armed terrorists have taken over the Radison Blu hotel at Mali’s capital Bamako. They have taken hostage 140 residents and 30 employees of the hotel. So far the terrorists have used bullets and grenades. The Malian police forces have surrounded the area but the terrorists are still inside the hotel.

France is sending 40 members of GIGN, an elite paramilitary force, to help Malian police. In the meantime, one of the hostages has released a video shot from the room.
