The hostage situation at Radisson Blu hotel at Bamako has finally ended as Malian commandos managed to overpower the terrorists and get hold of the hostages. According to latest report, 27 people have been killed in the attack and rest all hostages have been extracted safely. Earlier in the day at least 10 terrorists gained control of the luxury hotel in Bamako. Hotel security failed to stop them as the militants were heavily armed. Police and commando forces were immediately deployed to secure the perimeters of the hotel.

French defence minister said that Algerian militant Mokhtar Belmokhtar could be behind this attack but at this moment it is not certain. His militant group Al-Mourabitoun claimed on Twitter that they were behind this attack. This group was formed around 2 years back by Mokhtar and it operates out of the Sahara desert.
