Adele’s newest record, ’25’, smashed records left and right as it sold more than 3 million copies within just the first week. According to report from Nielsen Music, the album far surpassed the initial projection of 2.8 to 2.9 million. As these numbers were tracked till Thursday, the sales could be even more.
The sales of ’25’ has surpassed the 15 year old record held by *NSYNC’s “No Strings Attached” which sold 2.4 million copies in the first week in 2000. The British singer released her album online on Spotify and Apple Music. On the back for her success, Adele also announced on Twitter that she would start an European tourn next year.
