PV Sindhu Storms Into Macau Open Final

Indian badminton sensation PV Sindhu stormed into the Macau Open final today after defeating second seed Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi 21-8 15-21 21-16. Sindhu is a former two time champion at this event and she is just one win away from from claiming the 1,20,00 USD prize money.

Sindhu started the game in terrific fashion by winning the first game 21-8 in just 14 minutes. Second seed Akane came back strong in the second game to claim it 15-21. It all rested on the third game and Sindhu grabbed an early lead of 11 – 5. Despite some desperate efforts from Akane, Sindhu managed to complete the win in a total 63 minutes.
