Man of The Match was Shoaib Malik for scoring 75 off 54 and picking up 1 wicket. Shoaib said,” I would have been very happy if we had won the game. There are mistakes but we came back hard. Congratulations to England as they played very well throughout the tournament. As a senior cricketer I have to perform in whatever role is offered to me and I am enjoying bowling at the moment.”
Man of The Series was James Vince. he said, “It is nice to to get opportunity. Sometimes you have to analyze the situation but I am enjoying every bit of it.”
Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi said, “Must give credit to the English. We played well but missed the opportunity again. Shoaib Malik set an example for us. Lots of positives come out from this series. We have a gap during which we will work on fielding and fitness. Jordan bowled really well as he did not give any room.”
England skipper Eoin Morgan said, “I don’t think we deserved to win tonight and Jordan really stepped up with six perfect yorkers. When asked to bowl in the super over, he stepped up to the plate. It is important to expose younger players under pressure situation. It is important for us to keep developing individually and as a team.”
