Shankar Mahadevan Undergoes Angioplasty After Suffering From Heart Attack

Musician, composer and singer Shankar Mahadevan suffered a heart attack on Sunday 7th December.Speculations in the media suggest that the singer suffered two heart attacks before he was taken to the Delhi Hospital. According to current update, the singer underwent angioplasty and has responded very well to the procedure.

His son Siddharth confirmed his fast convalescence, “It was mainly due to exhaustion. Dad underwent angioplasty on the first day itself when he was hospitalised. Thankfully, there weren’t any major blockages. He is recuperating well and the doctors said he would be discharged within a day or two.”

Shanlar Mahadevan’s upcoming performances in Mumbai and Rajkot have been cancelled.
