Kolkata’s East Bengal Football Club had been in talks with Atletico de Kolkata’s Samheeg Doutie and Iain Hume to fill up the role of the 4th foreign player. But if reports are to be believed, none of the ISL stars are going to play in front of the capacity Kolkata crowd. Rather, a prolific attacking midfielder from Ghana called Bright Lukman has been roped in by the club management to take place of Dudu Omagbemi.
Bright Lukman currently plays for the Ebusua Dwarfs’ in Ghana Premier League. The team was relegated last year but again got promoted this year thanks to 30 goals from Lukman in the GN Bank National Division One League. He is also the highest goal scorer in Division One this year. If the 22 year old attacking medio joins East Bengal, he will be the 4th foreign player of the club besides Belo Razzak, Ranty Martins and Du Dong.
