Chris Gayle Hits 600 6s In T20, First Player Ever To Do So

In the Big Bash match between Melbourne Renegades and Birsbane Heat today 19th December, Chris Gayle hit two huge sixes batting for the Renegades and became the first cricketer in history to hit 600 sixes in T20 matches. Gayle is one of the most sought after players in the T20 circuit. He is leaps and bounds ahead of the Kieron Pollard who is second on the list with 388 sixes. Brendon McCullum is 3rd with 290 sixes to his name.

Chris Gayle has a number of T20 records to his name including the fastest 100 when he smashed a century off just 30 balls for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Sahara Pune Warriors. He remained not out for 175 in the same match which is the highest individual score in a T20 match till date. His 8363  runs in T20 is the highest along wit the highest 16 centuries and 53 half centuries.

Apart from 600 sixes, Gayle has also hit 653 fours. Australian Brad Hodge is leading the list with 664 boundaries. Gayle could topple this record in the next couple of matches.
