The Indian bulldozer Vijender Singh destroyed Bulgarian pro boxer Samet Hyuseinov in just two rounds at the Manchester Arena. Prior to the fight, Hyuseinov had threatened to send Vijender back to India “beaten and broken” . Singh replied to the banter in fine style in the ring today as the referee had to stop the fight in the second round to protect Hyuseinov and Vijender’s win was sealed.
Singh took control of the match since the first bell against Hyuseinov who had participated in 14 pro fights previously with a 7 – 7 record. Vijender proved to be the faster and stronger of the two as he cornered Hyuseinov multiple times using a combination of straight right and left jabs and some beautifully timed uppercuts.
With this win, Vijender Singh has acquired a 3 – 0 record from 3 pro fights. Earlier he had defeated, Sonny Whiting and Dean Gillen from England.
