Real Madrid Destroy Rayo Valecano 10 – 2, Gareth Bale Scores 4

Football, Sports

It was a goalfest in La Liga today as Real Madrid destroyed Rayo Valecano by scoring 10 goals. Ironically, it was Rayo Valecano who took the lead early in the match but two red cards reduced them to nine men and Real capitalized fully on the opportunity. This is the first time 10 goals were scored in a La Liga match in 55 years.

Rayo Valecano went ahead 2 – 1 within the first 12 minutes. Danilo opened the scoring for Real but Antonio Amaya and Jozabed quickly captured 2 goals to take the lead. Then Tito and Raul Baena were sent off for careless fouls and Real quickly equalized via Bale. At the end of the match, ‘Welsh Wizard’ Gareth Bale ended up with 4 goals and Karim Benzema netted 3. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the other 2 goals to complete 23 goals this La Liga season.

After the match Rayo Valecano manager Paco Jemez said, “La Liga has lost credibility. We feel trampled upon and humiliated. It is a long time since I have seen something so grotesque and shameful that doesn’t benefit us or Madrid. All of us lose credibility.”

This match must have brought a breath of fresh air to Karim Benzema who was banned from the French National side over the sextape blackmail case. He scored a hat-trick in the match. Real Madrid had early stood behind their French superstar.
