Indian Football Team won their inaugural SAFF cup against Sri Lanka today by a scoreline of 2 – 0 as Robin Singh scored twice. Today at Trivandrum, India, the Indian dominated the game from beginning to end finishing with 78% possession. The win would give Indian coach Stephen Constantine a lot of relief as he was under immense pressure due to India’s lacklustre performance in the World Cup qualifying games.

After the goal the Lankans went into a shell and started defending all out but Sunil Chhetri created another brilliant cross from the left flank at the 72nd minute which Robin Singh managed to put past the goalkeeper.
