At Hyderabad airport yesterday Indigo offloaded 70 passengers from Raipur bound flight 6E-466 for unruly behaviour. According to the airline, a group of 70 passengers had booked tickets for Raipur and once on board, they started exchanging seats. A number of male passengers of the group stood in the aisle blocking passage. They did not budge even after repeated request by the cabin crew and some of the passengers started brushing their luggage against one cabin crew.
The passengers in turn have filed a complaint against the local police station saying they were harassed by the cabin crew and their check in baggages were not returned before the flight took off. According to a statement by airline police inspector T Sudhakar, “The cabin crew then called the ground staff to assist them. The situation worsened and led to the extent of offloading of passengers.” At this point it is not clear whose fault it is but one is forced to ponder how 70 passengers can be unruly at the same time.
