Leander-Hingis, Sania-Dodig Move To Mixed Doubles 3rd Round In Australian Open

The team of Leander Paes and Martina Hingis moved to 3rd round of Australian Open. today. The Indo-Swiss duo comfortably beat American-Dutch pair of Sloane Stephens and Jean-Julien Rojer 6-1, 6-2 to claim the next round spot. On the other hand Sania Mirza and Ivan Dodig also moved to 3rd round overcoming the challenge of Yaroslava Shvedova and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi by 7-5, 6-2.

Leander-Martina will now face Sania-Ivan in the 3rd round which shapes up to be a cracker of a match. It remains to be seen who of the ‘Santina’ duo can come out on top. But it is clear that only one of the Indians will be able to advance from this fixture.
