Virender Sehwag Turns Back The Clock To Hit 63 Ball 134

Cricket, Sports

Playing for the Gemini Arabians in Masters Cricket League 20-20, Virender Sehwag showed once more why he was at one point considered the most destructive batsman in the world. Despite the presence of quality bowlers such as Shane Bond and Daniel Vettori in the opposing team, Sehwag spared no one as he struck a clinical 47 ball century. The ball kept hitting the boundary time and again as he flogged the bowling to all parts of the ground and notched up 10 boundaries and 11 sixes. Ably supported by Kumara Sangakara, the duo put Gemini Arabians on 224 from 20 overs.

in reply. Sagittarius Strikers built up a formidable reply with quickfire scores from Imran Farhat, Yaseer Hameed and Yasir Arafat. But they eventually fell just 12 runs short from their allotted 20 overs. Sehwag who recently announced his retirement from international cricket perhaps displayed the selectors that he still has some fire left in his belly.
