Bollywood’s favorite ‘Sanju Baba’ will walk out of Pune’s Yerwada Jail after completing his jail term of 4 years 3 months and 14 days. Due to good behaviour he was exempted from 8 months and 16 days of jail time. In a marathon trial launched in 1993 that lasted 18 years, Sanjay Dutt went to the jail several times before Supreme Court gave a verdict of 5 years of imprisonment in 2013.

Sanjay, however, will not be walking out empty handed. He will carry 440 rupees that he earned during his stay at the jail and also a brand new script based on the life of a fellow inmate. Sanjay was released on parole twice, for a total of 4 months which begged the question behind giving him jail time in the first place as most convicts do not get to enjoy such lengthy paroles. The release of inmate number C-16656 brings a sense of happiness to Bollywood as crores of investment is riding upon this actor.
