On today 1st March, Mulshi Taluka Tahsildar closed the Sahara Group owned Aamby Valley resort in Lonavala. Aamby Valley

Sahara Group amassed a huge sum to bring the Aamby Valley resort to life and recently another 15 crore was injected in the project. Sahara Credit Cooperative has 1,039 crore INR worth of shares in the resort but other investors in the cooperative complained of non-payment by Sahara on their deposits and investments. Subrata Roy is currently trying to curve out a deal that can save him further jail time and this step by government might further jeopardise his plans.
