A UK Beggar Earns As Much As British PM David Cameron

International News, News

According to a report published on Daily Mail, a beggar in Wolverhampton City Center makes as much as 500 British pounds per day. Thus he takes home 1,30,000 pounds per year, which is only 12,000 pounds less than the salary of British Prime Minister David Cameron. He mostly targets shoppers and commuters during the busy hours and thanks to their kindness, he is raking home quite the amount. He might be charged under fraud and deceit.

The beggar poses as homeless but in reality he has a ‘reasonable’ property registered to him. This incident was brought to the notice of Wolverhampton’s Labour Council by a council officer. Wolverhampton’s Labour councilor Steve Evans said, “We knew he wasn’t homeless as he was registered to an address and lived in quite a reasonable property actually. Yet he would be seen in the middle of the city center at busy times of the day and happy to sit there all day long.”
