No Indian Player Chosen In The ICC Women’s Team Of The World T20

Following their lacklustre performance in the ICC World T20, no Indian women’s team player could make a cut into the ICC women’s team of the tournament. New Zealand is the most represented country in the team with as many as 4 players. 2 English, 2 Australian and 2 West Indians made it to the team with one South African making up the playing 11. Pakistan’s Anam Amin was chosen as the 12th player. The team is captained by Stafanie Taylor of West Indies.

The men’s team of the tournament features Virat Kohli and Ashish Nehra from India. While Kohli’s inclusion was more or less obvious, 37 year old Ashish Nehra surprised everyone by his performance in the Asia Cup and World T20. While Kohli has been chosen to captain the side, 4 English players feature in the team with 2 West Indians, 1 New Zealander, 1 South African and 1 Australian player. Mustafizur Rahman from Bangladesh is the 12th player.
