Rakhi Sawant Wants Ceiling Fans Banned To Curb Suicide

National News, News

Rakhi Sawant added another feather to her crown of making irrational and borderline idiotic comments today when she demanded ceiling fans be banned from all houses of India to stop suicide. Speaking on the unfortunate suicide of television actor Pratyusha Banerjee who committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan, Rakhi Sawant expressed grave concerns over the use of ceiling fans as a whole. She demanded the use of table fans and ACs as alternatives to ceiling fans.

She urged PM Narendra Modi to ensure her request (demand) is fulfilled. Even without considering the absurdity of the statement, Rakhi failed to mention the various other options people choose to commit suicide such as jumping on train tracks, jumping from rooftops, poisoning themselves and so on. Twitter users as usual mocked Rakhi for her banal comment on this very important issue but when has that stopped Rakhi Sawant from speaking her mind. Perhaps the even more hilarious fact in the press conference was the small replica of a ceiling fan she used while making her point. She also mentioned that Pratyusha’s boyfriend Rahul used to torture Pratyusha and she had urged Rahul to stop it.
