Joan Laurer, famously known as Chyna in the WWE was found dead in her apartment at the age of 45. She was billed as the “9th Wonder of the World” during her wrestling career and she is the only female to have held the WWE Intercontinental Championship and a shot at the WWE Championship. She is also the only professional female wrestler to have fought in King of the Ring and Royal Rumble events.
Despite her glittering professional wrestling career, Chyna had a troubled personal life and at one point worked in adult pornographic films. Her last stint at wrestling was in TNA Wrestling in 2011. She was found dead at her Redondo Beach apartment after a friend of hers discovered her on the bed. She had not been responding to her phone for a few days. The news of her demise at the age of 45 has shocked and saddened the professional wrestling world as tweets started pouring in.

I wish I could hear Joanie laugh again. She had the most most beautiful, dorky, fully committed laugh. pic.twitter.com/fKKNo7Ybe2
