Indian pro boxer Vijender Singh is preparing for his 4th pro fight against Frenchman Matiouze Royer this Saturday. The 30 year old boxer has won all three of his previous bouts via technical knock outs under 3 rounds. There were speculations that the opponents chosen against him were too easy. But Matiouze Royer cuts an impressive boxer with experience of 44 pro fights and 14 wins under his belt. When asked, even Vijender conceded the fact that this fight might last longer and prove to be a tough challenge.
Vijender said in an interview, “From whatever I have seen of him, he does not look easy. He knows how to fight a tough one. I would say he is good but then I am no less. I will try to finish this fight as soon as possible again. But I think it could be a little longer than the previous ones, which is also good for me. I don’t mind more time in the ring but if I can finish off something early, why not?” Vijender and Matiouze will face off at the Copper Arena in Stratford.
