Google Is Recording Users’ Voices Even When They Are Offline

According to a website introduced by Google itself, Google is actually recording all the voice searches made by every user with a Google account. By logging in here, you will be able to see all the voice searches made by you with requisite date stamps. You are even able to play and here exactly what and how you said. While this funny in one sense, it is definitely creepy in another seeing all of your voice searches show up online.

According to Google, this is done to collect user pronunciation of words and phrases and also how they use the “OK Google” feature. What is even more incredulous is the fact that Google can record your voice even when you are not connected to internet. One good thing is that this history can be deleted. You can also turn off voice and audio activity on your phone and Google will not record you. Google said in a statement, “Google records your voice and other audio, plus a few seconds before, when you use audio activations like– saying commands like “Ok Google” or tapping the microphone icon.” So think before you speak.
