Scotland Looking To Scatter Spikes On ‘Brexit’ Road

International News, News

Despite ‘Brexit’ supporters winning the vote, Britain’s exit from European Union may not be smooth. In an interview given to BBC, Scotland First Minister Nicola Sturgeon commented that Britain may not get “Legislative Consent”from the Scottish parliament. And if Britain tries to use muscles past the barricade, the demand of an independent Scotland might be raised again. Scotland was given much more legislative independence after the last vote on independence for Scotland.

In fact despite the referendum win for ‘Brexit’, consent from Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland parliaments will be needed for Britain to leave European Union. During last Thursday’s vote, 62% of Scots voted against ‘Brexit’. Apart from another vote for Scotland Independence, there might be a vote for Northern Ireland independence as well if Britain does move out of European Union.
