Three Chinese reporters, working for Xinhua news agency, have been notified to leave India by the end of July. Their visa extension requests have been rejected. According to the agency, no reason was given for the rejection. India rarely expels reporters of foreign countries or of China and this is one of those situations.
The reporters are She Yonggang, a Xinhua reporter based out of Mumbai, Tang Lu, head of the Xinhua agency Mumbai Bureau and Wu Qiang, a reporter based out of Delhi. Tang is also an expert on South Asia.
