Virgin owner Sir Richard Branson survived a high speed bicycle crash at the Virgin Gouda island which is part of the British Virgin Islands. The incident occurred in the dark as Richard Branson was going downhill at a high speed on his bicycle. He hit a hump and was flung on the road. His cycle fell down the side of a cliff.
The billionaire’s assistants reached the spot soon enough and carried him home. He has a cracked cheek, multiple bruises and torn ligaments. The 66 year Twitted a picture of him sipping tea through a straw. This is not his first tryst with danger though. Mr. Branson has been in life threatening situations multiple times before being saved. He believes it was his bicycle helmet that saved his life this time around. He also shared a Twit saying, “My latest brush with death, at least you’ve still got a job.”
