Chitranjan Kumar denied issuing any such instructions to the students and claimed the program was planned by students and their parents after school hours. The show-cause letter asked if Chitranjan had already asked for funds from Education Department. Chitranjan said that the dire condition of the school may have motivated the students to take such an action.
