According to data compiled by Matt Stiles, Belarusians drink the most in the world every year followed closely by Lithuanians and the Czech. The world drinking map has been created using data from World Health Organisation and World Bank. The map shows Europeans love their liquor with all top 10 spots occupied by European countries.
North Africans on the other hand hardly drink. In countries like Libya and Mauritania, data shows that people don’t drink at all. Canada and United States are within shouting distances of each other occupying 41st and 46th positions respectively. Despite apparent drinking problems, India is at 117th and its neighbour Pakistan languishes at 177th with hardly any consumption.
