Ross Taylor Having Eyesight Problems, To Consult A Specialist
New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor is having problems with his eyesight. An eye check before New Zealand’s last match before Pakistan showed that the batsman’s eyesight has deteriorated significantly in the recent months. He is set to consult an eye specialist before the second test. Decision regarding his exclusion in the squad will be finalized once the report comes in.

The problem could explain Taylor’s dismal form in recent months as he is averaging only 10 in his last 10 tests. During New Zealand’s recent tour in India, Taylor’s highest score in 3 tests was only 32. He scored only 11 in the first innings against Pakistan in the first test. Coach Mike Hesson said, “There’s a growth that’s come across a little bit. It’s been fine for a long time but it’s part and parcel for any human being. You do different tests, you want to make sure things are all in order.”
