Apple has been showing interest in foldable electronic devices for sometime now and it has recently got a patent for a foldable device that can clamp to the clothes. Meaning no pocket is required to carry this device around. Apart from this patent, Apple also has patents for a bendable phone with carbon nanotubes forming the screen and the central hinge. It also has a flexible screen patent that focuses on a screen that can handle bending and twisting.
This latest patent involves OLED display screens facing each other when closed along the hinge. There could be additional hinges allowing users to fold their devices in thirds and fourths. While Apple has a number of patents that were never worked on but in this case, the tech Giant seems to be really interested in bringing out a phone or a tablet that can be folded like a notebook.
