Russian Kills An ISIS “Emir” Rustam Aselderov In North Caucasus
Russian security service FSB claims to have killed one “Emir” of Islamic State military organisation in the North Caucasus region. Emirs are heads of self proclaimed Islamic State provinces. According to reports, a group of insurgents were cornered into a house in Makhachkala where they were neutralised. Emir Rustam Aselderov who is also known as Sheikh Abu Mohammad al-Qadari and four of his close associates are among the dead.

North Caucasus region has been supplying ISIS with foreign fighters for a long time now. Aselderov was previously a member of Caucasus Emirates insurgent group and later took over as head of Dagestan branch. He became an emir of ISIS in 2015. Aselderov is linked with blasts in Volgograd in 2013 and car blasts in Dagestan in 2012. Russia had declared a 5 million rouble for any information about Aselderov.
