Fast food chain McDonald’s is known for its attractive combo meals. Happy meals, value meals and extra value value meals are among the top choices of regular patrons. A person in Des Plaines, Illinois, has however decided to take some particular McDonald’s outlets to the court claiming their so-called “Extra Value Meal” combo is actual costlier than if the items are bought separately.
James Gertie has filed a consumer fraud class action lawsuit against Karis Management Company. The company owns many McDonald’s restaurants. According to the lawsuit, James claimed that the “Extra Value” combo of two chesseburgers, a drink and fries costs 5.90 USD while these items when bought separately cost 5,49 USD only. In the lawsuit, James is claiming that the company return the extra amount to all consumers who bought this combo. The lawsuit also seeks damages against Karis Management Company.
