Former Captain William Gallas Wants Arsenal To Replace Arsene Wenger

Football, Sports

Former Arsenal captain  William Gallas believes Arsenal’s dry trophy run is due to Arsene Wenger’s lack of winning mentality. The former French defender captained Arsenal between August 2008 and November 2009 and later joined archrivals Tottenham Hotspur. Gallas believes Arsenal could do better with someone like Jose Mourinho at the helm, someone who wants to win at all costs. Currently Arsenal is in the 12th year of a dry spell without the English Premier League.

Gallas had played under Jose Mourinho and has won 2 Premier League titles with Chelsea. The defender said, “I don’t know what Arsenal are going to do but they have to win trophies again. Maybe it is time to change something at the end of the season.” While Mourinho has often been ostracized for his win at all costs attitude, he is one of the most successful club coaches of the current era.
