Low-cost carrier Go Air is planning to start overseas flights starting October, based on the 143 Airbus Neo A320 aircraft they have ordered. The carrier has already received 5 of those aircraft and the delivery of the rest are pending due to an issue with the engines. The initial flights will be to various parts of Asia.
The information was confirmed by Go Air Managing Director Heh Wadia to PTI, “We have plans to start overseas operations from October this year.” During the initial phase, Go Air would review different destinations around Asia. Mr. Wadia also mentioned that Go Air has no interest in the divestment of Air India like other competitors.
