Bayern Munich has decided to get rid of manager Carlo Ancelotti after the 0-3 defeat at the hands of Paris Saint Germain at the UEFA Champions League group stages. Ancelotti had his contract with Bayern until June of 2019 but the German football giant has decided enough is enough. Ancelotti took over from Pep Guardiola in July of 2016 and managed Bayern to another Bundesliga title.
But as the new season started, the management found the manager was unable to give the Bavarian club the start they wanted. Bayern now stands 3rd in the Bundesliga after a 2-2 draw with Wolfsburg at home. They were also knocked out in the quarter-finals of last Champions League by eventual champions Real Madrid. Speculations are that Ancelotti might join his former club AC Milan.
