China has now officially made the J-20 Stealth fighter a part of its air force. The fighter is capable of evading high-power radars and a medium and long-range fighter jet. The jet made its first flight in 2011 and was officially unveiled in November last year at the 11th Airshow in China. The introduction of J-20 could give China the upper hand in South-East Asia in terms of air superiority.
Colonel Wu Qian said in a statement that flight tests of the jet are underway. Under the turbulent political conditions in the region, the balance of air force tipping in favor of one party may not be comfortable for India and other stakeholders. Pakistan has already expressed its interest in acquiring the J-20 stealth jets, also known as Dragon Fighter jets.
