Sylvester Stallone Confirms Creed 2, Shooting To Start In 2018

Sylvester Stallone has confirmed via Instagram that the sequel to Rocky spin-off series, “Creed”, will be in production next year. The 2015 “Creed”, starring Sylvester Stallone reprising his role as Rocky Balboa and Michael B. Jordan as Adonis, son of Apollo Creed, was a huge box office success and got Stallone a Golden Globe for the best supporting actor. He lost in the Oscars to Mark Rylance who shined in Steven Spielberg’s “Bridge of Spies”.

Rumors of a second Creed had been doing the rounds for some time and the announcement comes with a new treat for the fans. It seems Stallone will direct Creed 2 as Creed director Ryan Coogler is busy shooting “Black Panther”. Stallone wrote on his Instagram, “Looking forward to directing and Producing The incredibly talented Michael B Jordan in CREED 2 next year. One more round!“
