ISL – Delhi Dynamos Defeat NorthEast United FC 2 – 1, Book Semifinal Spot

In a tightly contested match in Delhi today, Delhi Dynamos managed to get past NorthEast United FC by the smallest of margins. With 21 points from 12 games, Delhi has secured a spot in the semifinals after ATK. NEU FC’s chances to qualify for the play-offs took a hit from today’s loss.

Delhi took the early lead with Robin Singh capitalizing on NEU goalkeeper’s mistake on the 30th minute. 7 minutes later NEU FC’s Seityasen equalized after Delhi’s Ralte Adinga mis-passed in their own half. After that both teams created some half chances but none could score a goal. When the game looked set for a draw, Brazilian Gustavo Dos Santos scored with his powerful left footer to seal the draw for Delhi Dynamos.
