Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) is going to award Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami with 10 Lakh INR and a plaque at their annual awards function today. The 34-year-old medium fast bowler and former captain of Indian Women’s Cricket Team recently played in the Women’s World Cup returning stellar performances. She earned a figure of 3/23 in the final against England to restrict them to 228/7. India ultimately lost the match following a batting collapse.
Jhulan also recently became the highest international wicket taker in Women’s cricket overtaking Cathryn Fitzpatrick of Australia. She currently has 195 wickets from 164 matches, her best performance being 6/31 in a match. Now in the 15th year of her women’s ODI career, she has won the Arjuna award and has been decorated with Padma Shri.
